Teaching chemistry outside your primary subject area? You're not alone, and you don't have to figure it out solo.

Modeling Chemistry for Modelers Teaching Outside Their Field is a 10-week distance learning course designed to build your content confidence and strengthen your Modeling practice, even if chemistry isn't where you started. Meeting once a week in the Fall, this course gives you the time and support to grow at a sustainable pace alongside your teaching schedule.

Join a supportive network of peers who understand exactly what it's like to teach outside your comfort zone, and walk away with practical, classroom-ready tools you can put to use right away.

DATES: Wednesdays starting Sept 30, 2026 – Dec 16, 2026 (skip 11/18 and 11/25) for 10 weeks, 30 hours.

TIME: 7 – 10 PM Eastern Time / 4 – 7 PM Pacific Time

LOCATION: Zoom Video Conference

COST: AMTA members: $700; non-members: $775

GRADUATE-LEVEL CREDIT:  2 optional Graduate-level credits are available from University of Pacific.
